E-Rate Filing Help: Short Terms

These terms apply when your school ("you") pays our fee.

  1. What we do. For one funding year, we prepare your school's FCC Form 470 (requesting internet access and Category 2 Wi-Fi/network equipment), help you review the bids you receive, prepare your FCC Form 471, and help answer USAC review questions. Once USAC issues our Consultant Registration Number (CRN), you add us as your consultant in your EPC account. We're not "USAC-approved" or "FCC-certified." A CRN is a registration, not an endorsement.
  2. What you do. Your school owns its USAC E-Rate Productivity Center (EPC) account, and one of your own employees is the account administrator. Your school reviews, signs and certifies every USAC form. We never certify for you.
  3. Fee. A flat $750 for the funding year, paid upfront. There are no other fees. The fee doesn't depend on whether you get funding or how much you get.
  4. If we make a mistake. If USAC denies a funding request because of an error on our part, we'll refund the fee or redo the work for free. That's the only case where we refund or redo the work.
  5. If you withdraw or don't certify. You can stop at any time. If you stop before we deliver any prep work, we'll refund the fee in full. Once we've delivered prep work (for example, a draft Form 470), there's no refund, including if your school decides not to go ahead, misses a deadline, or never certifies its forms.
  6. Our fee isn't covered by E-Rate. Consultant fees aren't eligible for E-Rate discounts. Your school pays our fee from its own funds. It can't be added to any funding request or included in a vendor's bid.
  7. We're independent. We aren't tied to any service provider. We take no commissions, referral fees, gifts or anything else of value from any vendor, and we'll tell you in writing about any possible conflict.
  8. You choose your vendors. Your school controls vendor selection under the FCC's fair and open bidding rules (47 CFR 54.503). Price of the eligible services must be the main factor.
  9. Records. Both of us will keep these terms, invoices and payment records for 10 years (47 CFR 54.516) and provide them if USAC or the FCC asks.
  10. No promise of funding. USAC decides all funding. Our estimate is only an estimate, and the actual discount and amount may differ.
  11. Letter of agency. If USAC requires it, you'll sign a letter of agency letting us act for you in EPC.
  12. How you accept. You accept these terms by paying the fee through our Stripe payment link. Checkout requires you to choose "I agree to the terms at federal-funds-desk.vercel.app/terms" from a dropdown before you can pay. We start work once you've done both.
